Los Viajeros General Information
Los Viajeros is a horseback riding club for the dedicated equestrian. Los Viajeros is Spanish for "the travelers" and was originated in 1941. The club holds several events which usually span two to three days. These rides take us throughout parts of California. All the rides take place during the spring and summer months.
Los
Viajeros was formally organized in Patroni's
Lunch Room at Princeton-by-the-Bay in 1944, but its actual birth took place
in 1941 when a group of horsemen decided to ride from the Mar Vista Stables
in San Francisco to Boulder Creek for Boulder Days.
Eleven men and women set out for Boulder Creek, riding Skyline Boulevard all the way, stopping at Billie Condron's Ranch overnight and making Boulder Creek the second day.
This ride met with such enthusiasm that it was decided to make it an annual event and extend the riding days to four. Each year the group grew in number until by the late 1940's more than 80 members and guests were participating in the ride.

Los Viajeros, now incorporated in Woodside, is still known for its Four-Day Ride, usually held in the third week in June. The club also offers day rides and other overnight events from March through November for its members and their guests. The rides are structured to insure safety. We usually offer a choice of paces--a brisk walk or a walk/trot group. Since most of our rides are catered, we require reservations which are guaranteed, even for "no-shows".
