Overnight Ride at Lake Sonoma
May 5-6, 2007
Come ride and camp at Lake Sonoma, in the beautiful coastal foothills of Sonoma
County. Enjoy the many miles of scenic trails with some fabulous views of the
lake. We’ll be camping at Lone Rock Horse Camp, which was designated as
a horse camp only about 3 years ago.
We have the camp reserved for Friday and Saturday nights, so you are welcome
to arrive on Friday. Bring your portable corral, or use the provided tieline
posts.
Cost: $ 105 for members, $115 for guests.
(includes camping fee, Grace Catering’s fabulous meals from Saturday Breakfast
through Sunday Lunch, all liquid refreshments, and porta-potty rental)
Optional Friday Night Dinner (Spaghetti, Salad & Garlic Bread) : $12

Saturday morning ride-out 10:00 am, Friday night dinner @ 6:30pm.
Directions: From Woodside, take Hwy 280 north to 19th Ave; Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and proceed on Hwy 101 for 65 miles to the Dry Creek Road exit just north of Healdsburg. Turn left on Dry Creek Road. After 10.1 miles it becomes Skaggs Springs Road. Continue past Park Headquarters, and stay to the right; name changes to Rockpile Road (at 12.1 mi). Proceed across a long bridge and past the public boat ramp, up the hill and past No Name Flat (at 13.9 mi). The entrance to our camp site is on your right at 14.3 miles.(3.2 miles from park entrance) Watch for LV sign. Note: There’s no gas after the Dry Creek Road exit; good place for gas (easy access) is at Todd Rd exit in Santa Rosa.
Reminder: No dogs, stallions or people under 21;no ponying
horses. Bring Halter and Leadrope for tying your horse at lunch. Boots and Helmets
as well as breast collars are recommended. All guests must have a sponsor and
the sponsor must make the reservation for the guest. As always, a reservation
made is a reservation paid.
