Los Viajeros Riding Club

POINT REYES 4-DAY RIDE – JUNE 18, 19, 20 AND 21st

The Point Reyes area has long been a favorite destination for our club. There is a landscape of rolling hills and valleys, beautiful beaches, striking vistas and forests of Douglas fir and Bishop pine. This is truly one of the most wonderful places to ride, with trails to suit everyone’s taste. You can ride all day or take a shorter loop, ride in sunny areas or enjoy shade and coastal breezes. Be sure to bring layers to wear since it can get quite warm during the day and cool at night. There are no corrals, so bring your own or your tie line. There is plenty of room and always options for a longer stay.

Please bring a chair to use at mealtime. There are no longer usable tables and chairs available in the picnic area.

COST OF RIDE: $205 for members and $225 for guests and includes: BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, BREAKFAST ONLY on Sunday, and of course the price also includes the ride pin and a special souvenir gift package . If you go up to the horse camp early, you are on your own for food until Thursday morning.

PARTIAL RIDE PRICING: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – each day or any combination of those days at $70 member and $75 guest PER DAY. Reservations for those entire days include the pin and gift pack. Dinner only at $30/35. Breakfast on Sunday is $10/$12.50.

ENTERTAINMENT: Joyce and Noel have a unique and fun "reality program" planned for your enjoyment. Stacy has some wonderful items for the "Silent Auction". Kitty has found some fabulous things for the "Raffle". June has planned a fun and different "wine tasting" event. And we are trying to put together a field trip to the Point Reyes Lighthouse for one afternoon…more on this as it develops.

IMPORTANT!!!! The ride cost DOES NOT include the camp fees for Stewart Horse Camp of $17.50 per person/horse unit per night, which gets paid directly in CASH to Amanda the Camp Boss. There is also a new rule that doesn’t allow group reservations so each party must call in their own reservation before the ride. Call Amanda at Stewart Horse Camp (415-663-1362) and let her know what days you will be there. SOONER IS BETTER FOR RESERVATIONS. Parking/camping is on a first come basis.

DIRECTIONS: Take 101 north from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge to the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Exit. Head west (towards San Anselmo) approximately 25 miles to the town of Olema (as far as you can go). Turn left at the blinking red light and go 3 miles to the Stewart Horse Camp. It is on your right shortly after passing the Stewart Ranch.
